My name is Megan Pastrana, and I’m the founder and lead attorney at Immigration for Couples—but more importantly, I’m someone who understands what it’s like to fall in love across country lines.

I met my husband, Carlos (who’s from Mexico), at a benefit banquet which we had both been invited to by friends. We were sitting at tables next to each other, and we just started talking. In a serendipitous moment that changed my life, I met a man that made me laugh so hard my ribs hurt, someone genuine who I connected with like I’d never connected with anyone before (obviously, we got married!). We went on our first date the next day, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

We’ve always joked that we were our own first clients. It sounds funny to put it that way, but the truth is that the seeds that would grow into Immigration for Couples were planted the day we met. This firm is a calling that grew from our love story.

I know that as important as it is to us, our story is just one of many. I get the pleasure of listening to amazing people tell their own stories that sound like Hollywood movies every day, and I can’t wait to hear yours too.
